FOUNDATION FOR DOG SPORTS
August 15th - Oct 3
8 WEEK COURSE
THURSDAYS - 6:15-7:15PM
INSTRUCTOR: EMMA TINKLENBURG
Building a good foundation and a strong core is crucial for all dog sports. If you are interested in building a better relationship with your dog and also learning some great new ways to help your dog with various sports, this class is for you! This class will focus on strength and conditioning, building a stronger relationship with your dog and learning how to help your dog focus and become a better partner with you. This is a class favorite at MIK9AC and will be sure to fill fast.
This is open for all levels of handlers and dogs though we do ask that some basic obedience be completed prior to signing up for this class.

INSTRUCTOR: BECKY CANALE (FLY BY NIGHT FLYBALL TEAM)
Does your dog have an obsession with tennis balls? Interested in learning more about flyball? Come join our Flyball 101 class and learn from one of the best teams in Grand Rapids! This class will focus on the basics and the foundations of flyball and is a great class for dogs with a high toy drive.
No dog reactive or people reactive dogs please. Dogs must be 6 months or older and have completed a basic obedience course.
AUGUST 12th - Sept 16th
6 WEEK COURSE
MONDAYS - 6:00-7:00PM
INSTRUCTORS: MAUDE TANK & LINDA RINGLE
In this class, you will learn about the basic concepts in searching for odor, proper use of equipment, how to handle odor, how to make and place hides, and how to teach your dog the importance of odor obedience. You will also learn how to make the search for scent extremely important to your dog.
Please bring a chair, a leash, a collar with an audible "click" noise and/or harness and treats.
