CAN WE EARN TITLES?
Yes! These events are run under North American Diving Dogs which means your dog can earn an AKC title. Dog not registered AKC? Click here to see the options available!
WILL YOU HAVE FINALS?
Yes! The top 5 dogs from each distance division will advance to finals. Finals are offered for Open and Lap Class.
Finals will run on the Sunday of each event at 5pm. Check-in for finals will begin at 4pm (this may vary from event to event). You must check-in for finals in order to participate. There is no additional fee to jump your dogs in finals.
HOW DOES THIS WORK?
Frosty Paws Series not only allows you to earn titles with NADD, but you can also earn fun prizes and awards by opting into our high point series.
Once you have opted in, your scores and points from that day forward will count towards the highpoint awards.
We take the best overall jump from the weekend for your dog to determine the standings by division. That best overall jump from the weekend also determines points for the highpoint and reserve high point awards. See table below for more info.
HOW CAN I OPT IN?
Opting in can only be completed at the time of check-in. You cannot opt in through the NADD portal.
We accept cash, credit card or check.
HOW DO I KNOW WHAT CLASS MY DOG IS IN?
This is determined when you register your dog with NADD.
To view this information, go to your account in the NADD Portal and look under your dog information. If you still cannot find this information, please let us know and we will assist you.
WHY WOULD I OPT INTO THIS?
For additional fun, bragging rights and to win some pretty awesome awards!
DOES THIS GIVE MY DOG AN ADDITIONAL TITLE?
It does not give you an official title through AKC.
CAN I EARN A CHAMPIONSHIP OR RESERVE CHAMPIONSHIP IN MORE THAN ONE DIVISION?
No, you can only earn a distance championship or reserve championship in one single division. If your dog jumps out of a division, they will move up to that new division from that point forward.
IF I OPT IN AT A LATER DATE, DO MY SCORES FROM PREVIOUS FROSTY PAWS EVENTS COUNT?
They do not. Your scores will only count from the day forward that you have opted into Frosty Paws.
HOW DO I KNOW IF I HAVE OPTED IN?
Your dog's name will be listed on our website under Frosty Paws Series Event Standings.
DO I HAVE TO PARTICIPATE IN A CERTAIN NUMBER OF EVENTS?
Yes, you must attend at minimum two Frosty Paws events in order to qualify for an award. Two separate events means two separate weekends.
WHERE DO I SEE MY POINTS AND CURRENT STANDING?
Points and standings will be updated within 24 hours of the event ending. All information will be posted on the MIK9AC website.
DO MY SCORES FROM FINALS COUNT TOWARDS THE FROSTY PAWS HIGHPOINT SERIES?
No. Only the scores earned during the splashes count towards the Frosty Paws Highpoint Series.
